Recently, it was announced at the National Tourism Planning and Development Conference in Beijing that the Liyang Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort and other 16 domestic resorts were officially approved as the first batch of national tourist resorts. 

Since the government of Liyang proposed the objective of “coordinated application for three national titles” for Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort at the beginning of 2012, the resort has firmly adhered to the  concept of “ecological development with a scientific outlook.” Focusing on the improvement of facilities, landscapes, products and services, the resort has taken on a new look through unswerving efforts , becoming a popular destination in eastern China. 

In 2013, Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort was classified as national AAAAA tourist resort and national ecotourism demonstration zone. In October 2015, the resort stood out from over a hundred provincial tourist resorts throughout the country and became one of the first batch of national tourist resorts.
